3 Types of Posts That I Use

There are many types of post around the blogosphere. The name of the post type is different from one blog to another. It depend from where did the blogger excerpt the name. For example, the post which has good quality of subject, high demand and bring huge traffics, ones call it Killer post and another named it Pillar post. Basically it is the same, but it just called in different name.

There are another types of post that blogger usually have on their blogs. But I only use 3 types of post on my blog.

1. Sunshine Article

The sunshine name is my term for calling Killer article or Pillar article. I know it sound to be obtruding for me, changing an established term by a brand new term which published by nobody like me. But what the hek, it just for fun anyway. Here are some of the characteristic of this kind of article:

• How to article; an article that write a detailed tutorial teaching people to do something.
• Article that give a solution for ordinary problem that usually come up on your niche.
• Article that write your personal opinion about hot topics where people have only talked on their lunch break.
  

2. Ordinary post

This is the kind of post that fulfills my blog in regular basis in addition for the Sunshine articles. The ordinary posts are a kind of articles that easy to read, light topic to discuss, and fast to be written. 
Here are some types of posts that can be classified as ordinary posts:

• Link Post; a summary post that linking to another blog's post. 
• Resource link post; a list of links of another trusted blogs that useful for my readers. 
• Blog Recap Post; weekly or monthly basis post that recap all the activity of my blog and the achievement during the past time. 
• Information post; posts that has information about newest news in my niche or newest blogging tool that can make my readers be better bloggers.
  

3. Miscellaneous post

This is the kind of post that write random thought or miscellaneous thought that I want to share with my readers but it doesn't match with my niche. I recommended not writing this kind of post on your niche blog, using it just for your personal or generic blog.

Although I only has 3 types of post but they have wide variety of subjects to write. And the exciting is that I can expand one subject into 3 types of post that I talked above. So my post ideas list will expanded either, and I am ready to face the writers' block period.
