7 Tips to Promote Your Blog In The Early Stage

As a newbie blogger, one thing that I have to do is promoting the blog. A new blog has to be notice first before it can attract visitors. When your blog become well recognize, traffics will come in steady number.

Blog promoting is a process of recognizing throughout the internet's web. Moreover, it has to do in the right way, not in the tricky and hacky kind of way, to avoid your blog being banned by the Search Engine.

These are the steps that you need to do to promote your blog in the early stage:

1. Submit it to Search Engine. Although Search Engine has spider web robot that crawled your new blog and indexed it to their web server, but it would be better if you submit your blog's URL to them. 
There are so many Search Engine around the net but the major Search Engine always been the best source for leading visitor to your blog. And these are a few source link for submitting your blog URL to the search engine:
- Google ;http:/google.com/addurl  
- Yahoo ;http:/siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit  
- MSN ;http:/search.masn.com/docs/submit  
I am not going to explain step by step guide how to submit your URL in detail, you can follow the instruction on each Search Engine's site.

2. submit it to ODP Dmoz. ODP (Open Directory Project) Dmoz is still the largest Search Engine directory. It has wide range of category on it server and it indexed the URL of sites and blogs manually by thousand of its project editor volunteers. That is why being indexes in it is a little bit hard but once your submission approved, another Search engine will crawled your site/blog also, because ODP Dmoz directory is Search Engine Directory, which use by many Search Engine as their data source.

3. Submit it to Blog Directory. You can promoted your blog by submitted it to blog directories, sometime it helps you for recognizing your blog to the internet audience, even the blog directory member is another blogger. If your blog has well recognized by the blog directory's member, your blog will be a star and it will have massive traffic from it. 
These are few list of blog directory or you can say Blog Community Directory:Technorati, Blog Pulse, Blog Digger, My Bloglog, Digg and the list will go up, but I intend to write the complete list on my upcoming Link post.

4. Ping your blog. Ping is a process that tells the RSS Search engine that you have updated your blog. You can use Ping service for ping your blog into many Blog Directory.

5. Blogwalking. Blogwalking is an ultimate trick for promoting your new blog. Visiting another blogs and left your mark in each one of it is a way to make you and your blog being recognize. Although is not going to get your blog huge traffics all of the sudden but it at lease it will make your blog being noticed by other bloggers and their readers. If you do it consistently, I am sure, in the end, you will get good amount of traffic.

6. Link exchange. Making reciprocal link with other blogs, it's a sure way to make your blog get a wider exposure. When your blog's links appeared on many blogs, the change to be notice is a lot better. By doing the link exchange, you also make a spider web of community around your blog.

7. Buy ad place. This is last tips but also the least, because I only suggested it for you whose having enough budget for promotion.
