December 2009 Blogging Recap

Firstly, I would like to wish you all a happy new year of 2010. After we all having an enjoying New Year eve party, now it is time for us to continue our live to face the New Year challenge. However, before we make a plan and set this year goals, we should reviewed our last year goals first. By doing it, we will know which one of the goals is achieved and which one is not. Then we must figure it out why it failed and how we can fix it and do it in the right way.

I always review my short-term goal in monthly basis; you can read the review of December 2009 target in this post. Moreover, these are the recap of previous month target:
Traffic
I use Google analytic for the traffic data source. As you see in the image below;

My traffic has increased 13.6% compared to Novembers traffic. This blog visited by 500 visitors during December 2009, 59% of them or 301 visitors are absolute unique visitors or new visitors. The bounce rate of this blog decreased, by the end of December it reached 66.20%, it showed that some of the visitors stayed a little longer on this blog. It reflected by increasing the number of commentator on each of every post that I have. The traffic sources reflected that this blog has to improve its SEO, because only 3.60% of the traffic came from the Search Engine. Most of the visitors came from referring sites such as; Entrecard and Shoutmix.

Blog Rank (Alexa and Google PageRank)

In other hand, the Alexa rank of this blog has increased hugely. It started from 5 hundred thousand and it ended at 348.000, it's not bad for a blog which just 2 months old since it rebuild.

Thanks to the "Big G", that kick ass at the beginning of this year with regular PageRank update. This blog rewarded PR 1, I guess the link exchange, interlink, and inbound link method do work. I personally give my best gratefulness to my fellow blogger that humbly linked their blogs with mine. This one is my best New Year gift I ever have.

Over all this blog has progress considering to traffic and contents, because it shows by the increasing of the traffics (visits and pageview) and the number of comment on some posts. It has been a wonderful month, although not all of my monthly target/goals achieved, at least I know that I am in the right blogging track.

January 2010 Goals

• Increasing page views to 50-100 per day 
• Alexa rank 100.000 
• More comments on each of every posts 
• RSS subscriber : 5 
• Income: $10-$50
  

Making money is one of the major reasons why I am blogging, so for the month of January I have a target to make some money from this blog.
